the rise of the cellorettes

Cellorhythmics second album "The Rise of the Cellorettes" was released on 2nd March 2005 (see images from the concert).

"What strange musical roots! Blues, Soul, Progressive Rock, Jazz and 70's pop music. When you are going somewhere else with a classical instrument it is important to be honest about where you're coming from and this is as honest as I can get."

the new album also features our great drummer
Marc Layton - Bennett and Andy Garby (Vocals, track 7)

Although when we play live we experiment with many different formats includind percussion, double bass, saxophone, bass clarinet, banjo, mandolin and guitar, for this recording we have kept to the original concept of using cellos only.
